Sugarloaf Mountain, of Arizona is the tallest peak in the arid, low elevation Belmont Mountains of northwest Maricopa County, and about 65 miles (105 km) west of Phoenix. It is also the highest peak of the Hummingbird Springs Wilderness at the northwest end of the Belmont mountain range. The wilderness' southwest border is the northwest border of the Big Horn Mountains Wilderness of the Big Horn Mountains (Arizona).

Both mountain ranges drain their northwestern desert washes into southwest-flowing Tiger Wash at the southeast of the Harquahala Mountains. Tiger Wash is a tributary wash in the central-upper regions of the southeast flowing Centennial Wash, a tributary to the Gila River.

Sugarloaf Mountain is the highest elevation of the Belmont Mountains at 3,418 feet (1,042 m).[1]
